Does using compatible or re-manufactured cartridges void my printer warranty ?
Printer manufacturers make money from the high cost of original
cartridges and, like any company, wish to protect their profits. They are not
however legally allowed to void your warranty simply for using compatible
cartridges. They must prove that the use of non-genuine cartridges has caused
the issue for which you are returning the printer.
However,
when speaking with your printer manufacturer you may find they are more eager
to help if you do not volunteer that you are using non-genuine cartridges.
